Why should you not eat Indian cottage cheese in excess?
We all know that paneer(Indian cottage cheese) made from milk is very healthy for us… but did you know that consuming too much paneer can also be harmful? Since paneer contains a lot of fat, it can have harmful effects such as –
- Since paneer contains salt, the amount of sodium in it is high, so people suffering from high blood pressure should avoid eating paneer.
- Raw paneer can also cause infection, so it should not be eaten raw. Make sure the paneer is properly cooked before eating it.
- Consuming excessive amounts of cheese increases our bodies’ cholesterol levels. This may lead to heart disease.
- Always remember that if you are consuming paneer, you should not eat paneer at night since it has difficulty digesting at night, increasing the chances of stomach upset.
According to one study, a high intake of dairy products or calcium can also increase the risk of prostate cancer.
