Who all are at high risk from Tobacco consumption?
As we all know, people who have diabetes have issues with the way their bodies consume insulin. This results in blood sugar levels being too high or low.
Diabetes is a serious condition that accounts for approx 90 per cent of cases. Insulin pump therapy on the other hand is quite popular amongst diabetic patients. Insul by AgVa is one such insulin pump that helps in this type of therapy.
According to the US Food and Drugs Administration, Diabetes only leads to health hazards like heart disease, kidney issues, vision issues, and damage to nerves and blood vessels. People who smoke are more prone to Diabetes.
So, if you are a smoker you are likely to develop type 2 diabetes 30 to 40 per cent more as compared to non-smokers. Quitting smoking helps in diabetes. Researchers say that human insulin acts more effectively in just eight weeks of quitting smoking. Consuming tobacco is the major reason affecting the environment.
What you can do this World no tobacco day – Let’s make history
According to the National Library of Medicine “ Tobacco industry is the main culprit in deploying the environment. No matter how efficient the tobacco industry becomes it will never be eco-friendly. Here it is the Tobacco producing agencies’ responsibility to take care of the thousands of cigarette wastes produced every year.
By making sure and not neglecting these wastes the tobacco industry can think of a long-term solution to the waste. Some tobacco manufacturing companies have started reducing the number of cigarette butts. As human beings, we should stop smoking to protect the environment and can do our bit.
